Nick completed his studies in 2012 at Australian College of Sports Therapy and has just recently joined our D.O.C team.
While completing his studies Nick was working at a nursing home providing soft tissue therapy to elderly patients in the community, which allowed him to gain the valuable experience about elderly and chronic conditions.
Nick has been refining his Sports Injury skills working with North Melbourne Football Club (AFL) for the past year and a half where he is working with professional footballers as a soft tissue therapist and sports trainer. Being involved with professional athletes allowed Nick to further expand his knowledge and skills and get a better understanding of sports injuries and the rehabilitation process.
All the experience in the past has given Nick a great understanding of different age groups and he is now able to help anyone with the appropriate treatment.
Nick has always had a strong interest in biomechanics of the body, posture, core balance and nutrition which allows him not to only treat the symptoms but also to help with prevention so patients are getting the most out of their daily activities.
Nick believes a lot of the times the source of pain is poorly recognized and he believes Myotherapy treatments can recognize and treat the source of pain using different musculoskeletal techniques.
Nick is really looking forward to expanding the Myotherapy team with his experience at D.O.C.
