Jessica joined the D.O.C team in 2012. Jess began her tertiary education in 2006 at Deakin University studying Exercise Sports science before transferring into Osteopathy in 2007. She completed her Masters of Osteopathy at Victoria University in 2011 on the Osteopathic perspective on treating children.
Jess was a massage therapist for 4 years at a corporate setting in the Docklands and also at another Osteopathic clinic where she began to develop her knowledge for a holistic treatment style. Jess has enjoyed treating and managing a number of musculoskeletal injuries within the workplace, as well as large number of runners and tri-athletes.
Jess is interested in not only making short-term changes to patient’s pain levels but also managing their pain long term with appropriate lifestyle changes and management plans.
Having also worked at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital, Jess enjoys problem solving and interacting with people of all ages, and has developed a great understanding of team-work. Jess’s caring nature makes her patients feel at ease instantly.
As a keen athlete herself and having played years of netball, Jess has been exposed to a range of injuries and also experienced a few of her own. Jess enjoys all outdoor activities including hiking, and has experienced some amazing walks all around the world.
Jess loves spending time with her family and friends and in her spare time loves to travel. On an ideal day you will find Jess on the beach.
